What does female-only mean? Female-only means spaces for women and girls only.
What does woman mean? Adult female human
What does girl mean? Child female human
Why I use “female-only” instead of “women-only?”
I went back and forth a great deal when naming female.liberation. Initially, I wanted to use the term “women” but the current landscape of language made me fear that the women who don’t call themselves “women” might not feel included in this space. I want all female-born people to know this is a space for them.
I also didn’t want to alienate my younger women readers who call themselves girls. My writing is for adults, but I also became aware that many younger women/girls ages 18-19 were interacting with my work. This age group occupies a complicated space - women in the eyes of the law, but teenagers (girls) in a mathematical and social sense. Not quite women, not quite girls. All of these factors led to the decision to use “female” over “women” as the most inclusive term for women, women who are also girls, and women who don’t call themselves women. I hope to reach all women through my work, because our womanness and femaleness is what I speak to.
#NoMalesWhatsoever
Despite writing “female-only” all over my work, calling it female.liberation, and addressing my audience as “sisters”, males find a way here. Some might believe they’re well-meaning, but it’s the impact, not intent, that matters. I don’t want any males in this space. I am a female separatist. My work, analysis, and guidance is for women-only. I hope for this boundary to be respected by males and ask you not to follow, subscribe, comment, or engage in any way. If you do break this boundary, I won’t enforce a consequence (unless I must), but your actions will make me aware of your inability to respect my boundaries & consent. You want to get involved in dismantling male supremacy? Focus on yourself and your fellow males. You being here is fucking my shit up, please go. That’s how you support me…or buy me a tea and donate to a group on my website. Use your male entitlement to pay it forward to women doing the work.
What does man mean? Adult male human
What does boy mean? Child male human
If you’re a male-born person, this is not a space for you. Please be respectful. Build your own spaces and burn down male supremacy, man!

✍️Artist Process Notes:
I’m a visual artist and feminist who loves to make art, write, and reflect. I’m passionate and sometimes divergent in my viewpoints. I share my opinions hoping to inspire other feminist women to share their voices. My writing style is root-cause analysis based on my specific experiences as a woman.
🤔Why I Write:
Creating is how I cope and process the world around me. This space is just me trying to figure out the path to female liberation, one brainstorm at a time.
Writing is how I learn and advance my knowledge; I use it to work through my beliefs, blind spots, contradictions, and confusion.
I’m inspired by all the women who are using their scholarship in their own ways to stand up and fight back against male supremacy and censorship of feminism.
“Now, keep in mind that I'm an artist. And I'm sensitive about my shit.”
-Erykah Badu
☑️Goals:
I hope to create a female-only space centering like-minded women who are open to exploring feminism and raising our consciousness together. I imagine us respectfully sharing divergent viewpoints and finding ways to inspire action toward dismantling male supremacists’ violent power & control. My personal growth goal is to learn more about practicing female separatism.
🌎My Worldview:
My worldview is heavily informed by years as an artist, feminist community organizer, sex-based violence prevention educator, anti-trafficking direct service volunteer, technologist, sociologist, food service worker, and avid world traveler. What influences my worldview the most is the testimony and witnessing of other people I encounter out in the world.
👅Flavor Profile:
My writing will skew toward my lived reality as a lesbian woman who is a gender abolitionist, a racial minority, and an American whose parents immigrated to this land. I take broader topics and focus them on the niche areas that interest me, always linking my thoughts back to feminist root-cause analysis. I share a mix of visual art, poetry, and short and long form writing. Take what is useful, and leave the rest behind:) My views are not meant to be applied to everyone.
⌛Frequency:
I’m a sporadic creator, sometimes my energy is like a waterfall, other times not even a trickle. I can’t promise consistency, but I can promise I will try my very best to share something meaningful:)
When I’m in a hyper-focused space I might create and post a lot. To avoid flooding your inbox, I’ll aim to share no more than 4 pieces a week via email. The rest I will post on the blog and notes section.

NOTE:
⛔ This is a space free from delusions and “magical thinking.” I have spent years of learning that led me to the conclusion that all forms of mysticism are delusions. This includes all religions, spirituality, astrology, soul/spirit ideology, gender ideology, and magic ideology. If any of these belief systems are core to your worldview, this might be a triggering space for you. I in no way mean to offend believers, but I also know my intent is irrelevant when someone feels disrespected. I spent years steeped in believing in many forms of mysticism. I’m finally free and so thankful to have made it back to anchoring my beliefs in scientific reasoning. For my stability, I can’t risk the damage of being around delusion. I realize these viewpoints are fringe for some and I share it so readers can make the right choice if this is the space for them.
